Objective: |

To prepare the reliable and in-time area
and production estimates of all important agricultural crops
viz wheat, cotton, rice, sugarcane, gram, Oilseeds Onion,
Chilies etc. The area and production of other crops will be
estimated through improved method of data collection.
To collect and compile the statistics of other minor agricultural
crops through the improved conventional subjective method
and to conduct the opinion surveys.
To collect Agriculture Statistics viz land utilization statistics
and the area irrigated by different sources and other related
agriculture data.
To collect other supporting data for crop estimates i.e. input
data.
