| BRIEF:
According to final estimate of Rabi Chilies Crop of Sindh province for the year 2005-06 is assessed at 17,082 Hectares in area and 17,222 M. Tons in production, as compared to 10697 Hectares and 10466 M. Tons of last year’s final estimate, showing thereby an increase of 59.69% in area and 64.55% in production. The reasons of increase in both area and production are as under: AREA: The prices of Chilies in Kharif season induced the growers to bring more area under Chilies in Rabi season PRODUCTION: 1. Due to increases in area, the production is increased. 2. The Crop remained free from the attack of pets and diseases. 3. Better use of inputs also increased the production. |
