BRIEF:
The final estimate of Bajra crop Sindh province for the
year 2005 is assessed at 73261 hectares in are
and 12726 M. tons in production, when this area
and production compared with the last year’s final estimate
i.e. 5715 hectares and 3220
m. tons. Its shows an increase of 1181.91% in
area and 295.22% in production.
AREA:
The area increased due to monsoon rains specially in
Tharparkar District, where this crop is cultivated as rainfed
crop.
PRODUCTION:
Production increased due to increase in area. |
