No. S-178/12/2-IB/12317 Dated: 28-12-2005 NOTIFICATION SUBJECT: CLOSURE OF SUKKUR BARRAGE CANALS FOR THE YEAR 2005-06 The Agriculturist and Farming community settled in the Sukkur Barrage Canal commanded area are hereby informed that the Canals will remain closed from 6th January, 2006 to 27th January, 2006 (both days inclusive) for the purpose of normal inspection / maintenance and necessary repair of infrastructure. The Barrage Pond will be released gradually form Zero hour of 6th January, 2006. Its raising will again start from Zero hour of 27th January, 2006. During the period from 6th January, 2006 to 27th January, 2006 there will be no flow of water in any of the off-taking Canals i.e. N.W. Canal / Dadu / Khairpur Feeder East / Khairpur Feeder West / Rohri Main Canal and Nara Canal of Sukkur Barrage. CHIEF ENGINEER IRRIGATION SUKKUR BARRAGE SUKKUR
